It is really cold here in Poland! That is not surprising--it is January after all. But from what we understand this has been an unusually cold and snowy winter for Gdansk. Right now it is -4 Fahrenheit. It has not been above freezing here yet in 2010, and the forecast for the upcoming week does not look promising. It looks like we will be getting an additional 4-6 inches of snow midweek. We have been staying home the vast majority of the time. We are all anxious to get out and do something, but it is really just to cold to be out running around. Ben and Trey found the KU game online last night and enjoyed listening to the Jayhawks win. We're watching a lot of movies, playing board games and doing school work to keep ourselves busy. There's nothing we can do but wait the weather out, so that's what we are doing.
We are freezing, too! But we did just take a *short* trip to see the Black Madonna & it was an experience (in a good way). Y'all will really enjoy it. Sending you polish hot chocolate wishes & American popcorn dreams...(one of our fav cold weather snacks).
